ABOUT STAN SNEEDEN
A Personal Search for a Healthier Way to Live
Stan Sneeden’s journey toward creating The Monday Plan began long before the book was written.
From Struggle to a New Way of Thinking
Stan Sneeden
At thirty years old, Stan Sneeden was diagnosed with a malignant tumor in his salivary gland. The experience became a wake-up call that led him to begin searching for answers about health, lifestyle, food, and disease.
Over the years, Stan studied research, explored different approaches to eating, attended seminars, spoke with health professionals, and experimented with diets and fasting. Although some approaches produced short-term results, he found himself returning to old eating habits.
What he needed was something he could live with for the long term.
Through years of trial and error, Stan developed The Monday Plan—an incremental approach to changing eating habits one day at a time. By gradually limiting added sugar, wheat flour, and ultra-processed foods and resetting his efforts each Monday, Stan describes how his cravings diminished and his way of thinking about food began to change.
